JAMES BOND APPEARS IN MY LIFE / JAMES BOND APARECE EN MI VIDA



 They offer the role of James Bond for the first time in 1986, after Remington Steele, but at that time could not consolidate.
Again spent time calling back. Now was older, he matured, he was more certain is that he was ready to do this it ment while he was in awe.
Had been several actors before Pierce who had represented the famous spy and the comparisons inevitable.
Yours should be different, not unlike any other, but it waas knowing that not everyone would like. It was a difficult role was not as hard to look like Sean Connery ( the first Bond), were different times and should be totally different, and it was.

(MY REMARK :  It is a coincidence that the first James Bond movie he sa as a child was Goldfiger, and the first one he played was Goldeneye.)

Yhe release of Goldeneye was an event, a great event for him and his family. He could see his name in lights, he accompanied his mother and her husband, who was a real father to him.  The children and the woman who stole the heart and it would be an important part of his life.
Then came three more. Had dominated the character, had fun acting out scenes, but when he  believed were more entrenc hed by the end of his collaboration.

He does not like to read criticism, because if they are not flattering affect you greatly, especially if they bask in the defects.
Critics were not kind to Pierce in Mamma mia. They criticized his singing " Sing like a wounded raccoon " even said.
It hurt, but it is seasoned, strong as a rock and past the early stages and expected to recover next time be paraise rather than criticism.

Le ofrecieron el papel de James Bond por primera vez en 1986, después de Remington Steele, pero en aquel  tiempo no pudo consolidarse.
De nuevo pasado un tiempo volvieron a llamarle. Ahora tenía más edad, había madurado, estaba más seguro, es decir estaba listo para poderlo hacer, pero a la vez se sentía intimidado.
Habían sido varios los actores antes que Pierce quienes habían representado al famoso espía y las comparaciones eran inevitables.  El suyo debía ser diferente, que no se pareciera a ningun otro, pero también era sabedor de que no a todos gustaría.
Era un papel difícil, como difícil era no parecerse a Sean Connery (el primer Bond). Eran otros tiempos y debía ser totalmente diferente, y lo fué.

( MI OBSERVACION:  Es una casualidad que la primera película James Bond que vió cuando era un niño fuera Goldfinger, y la primera que él interpretó fuera Goldeneye ).

El estreno de Goldeneye fué un acontecimiento, un gran acontecimiento para´Pierce y su familia. Pudo contemplar su nombre en luces de neón. Le acompañaron su madre y su esposo, que fué un verdadero padre para él. Sus hijos y la mujer que le robó el corazón y que sería una pieza importante en su vida.
Después vi nieron otras tres más. Había dominado al personaje, se había divertido representándolo, pero cuando se creía más afianzado dieron por finalizada su colaboración.
No le gusta leer las críticas, pues si no son favorecedoras le afectan grandemente, sobretodo si se regodean en los defectos.
Los críticos no fueron benévolos con Pierce en Mamma mia. Le criticaron su forma de cantar.  " Canta como un mapache herido ", llegaron a decir.
Le dolió, pero está curtido, es fuerte como una roca y pasados los primeros momentos, se recupera y espera que la próxima vez sean  benignas.
