Arriving in America rented a car from Rent-A-Week, I stayed at a friend's house and I felt that fate had me smiled.  I had nothing to be ashamed and I felt I could do everything I wanted to.
For my appearance might represent an English or an Irish. I felt safe thinking that would conquer fame and to be like Robert De Niero, while thinking: is ridiculous, he is unique.
Pacer had a car with a lime-colored broken wing and a seat cushion above the springs does not hurt the rear with a good jacket, tie I dressed and went to make a job interview at Laurel Canyon.
At the beginning of Mulholland Drive, my car broke down.  I stopped at a house and asked a favor to a lady can use your phone. I must inspire confidence because the lady let me use it and so I get to my appointment.

" A pesar de tener el espíritu plenamente irlandés, con la sensibilidad, el lirismo, la poesía y el interés de lo humano que nos caracteriza a los irlandeses, soy también americano.
Estados Unidos me brindó la oportunidad que estaba buscando.  Llegué a América en un aparato que era lo más parecido a un avión, rezando para que nada ocurriera, gracias a Freddie Laker por sus vuelos de bajo costo.
Noventa y nueve dólares, asiento en la parte trasera del avión y mis propios bocadillos.
Al llegar a América renté un coche en Rent-A-Week, me hospedé en casa de un amigo y  sentí que la suerte me había sonreido.  Tenía mucha suerte, no había nada de qué avergonzarse y  sentía que podía hacer todo lo que me propusiera.  Por mi aspecto podía representar a un inglés o a un irlandés.
Me sentí fuerte pensando que conquistaría la fama y llegaría a ser como Robert  De Niro, al tiempo que pensaba:  es ridiculo, él es único.
Tenía un  c oche Pacer color lima con un alerón roto y un cojín encima del asiento para que los resortes no me lastimaran el trasero. Vestía con una buena chaqueta y con corbata; me dirigí a efectuar una entrevista de trabajo en laurel Canyon.  Al principio de Mulholland Drive, mi  coche se rompió.
Me detuve en una casa y le pedí el favor a una señora de poder usar su teléfono.  Le debí inspirar confianza porque la dama me permitió usarlo, y de esta manera pude llegar a mi cita.
Era un trabajo en una serie televisiva de CBS llamada Remington Steele.  El trabajo fué para mi."
